Mr James Brown Jr got me thinking earlier today with his “post super bowl resolutions” he posted. Normally I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions, I like more random resolutions- I feel like they…

CAUTION: WILL SWARM

Dear Colts,

I’m disappointed.  Sure the perfect season doesn’t matter, but it still was fun to pull for one.  But stay healthy, stay sharp, and practice your asses off.  I’ll see you at Lucas Oil Stadium in a little less than 3 weeks.

Dear Colts fans at the game,

I’m glad I was out of town and couldn’t go today.  I generally hate most of the bandwagonnning idiots that start the wave while the offense is on the field but to hear boos coming from the home crowd toward a home team that has clinched every possible playoff positioning is disgusting.  Sure, you have a right to be disappointed, and you paid your money so you have a right to boo- but you are the people who booed Brandon Stokely when he came back with the Broncos after he was cut.  You are the people who left in the 4th quarter of the Pats game this year.  I’m guessing I won’t be seeing you at the stadium when Manning retires.  Don’t let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.

Dear Colts fans in general,

Sure, being pissed off and disappointed is understandable.  But stop being such whiny bitches about it.  Momentum is bullshit.  The Cardinals limped into the playoffs last year and came a couple of plays short of winning the Super Bowl.  The Pats played all out in 07 and were a couple plays away from a perfect season.  Neither of these scenarios or any other proves dick about resting or not resting starters, because CORRELATION IS NOT CAUSATION.  It’s who plays better than the other teams and sometimes gets the right bounces to go their way.  How many teams and fan bases would kill to be in the position to rest their starters?  How many teams and fan bases would kill to have an organization that produces teams this good year in and year out?  Talk to a Browns fan sometime and get some perspective.

Dear Colts again,

Steamroll teams in the playoffs and shut everybody the hell up.  Hell, Caldwell may end up being a genius for creating the first ever 14-2 / 15-1 team with a “NO ONE BELIEVED IN US!” factor.  Go Blue.
